CCCE: Colorado Chamber Executives

The Colorado Chamber of Commerce Executives (CCCE) is an organization of local chamber executives whose purpose is to improve the professionalism of chambers, provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and act as both a resource and a liaison to CACI.

CCCE provides continuing education and networking for local chamber executives. CCCE conducts two conferences, one in the spring and one in the fall, each year. To join CCCE, please download the CCCE dues schedule, fill it out and send it, along with payment for the appropriate dues amount, to CCCE, 1600 Broadway, Suite 1000, Denver CO 80202-4935. The CCCE dues are based on a calendar-year membership.

CCCE is governed by a Board of Directors.

CCCE Fall Conference Awards

The top award was given to the Fruita Area Chamber of Commerce for their development of the Grand Valley Young Professionals group. Accepting for Fruita was Mary Lou Wilson, Director of the Fruita Chamber. She told the Chamber Executives how the Young Professionals group has grown to over 140 members in its first year. The Grand Valley Young Professionals have been an asset to the Chamber and to the community through educational and service projects. This program will be a role model for Chambers around the state to get young professionals involved in Chamber activities.

Second Place was awarded to the West Chamber serving Jefferson County for "Experience Jefferson County". Amy Sherman, President & CEO of the West Chamber, accepted this award and told the group about the project. This was a new initiative to promote Jefferson County as a tourism destination through partnerships and collaboration of multiple communities and business organizations.

The Third Place trophy was earned by the Aurora Chamber of Commerce for their program called "Flex in the City, When Work Works". Kevin Hougen, President & CEO of the Aurora Chamber, accepted the award and then explained the project to the group. "Our project is to promote effective and flexible workplaces in response to the changing economy and workforce.

Honorable Mentions were earned by the Steamboat Chamber of Commerce for its Centennial Celebration and Chamber Legacy project as well as their Sustainability Program for businesses. Arvada Chamber of Commerce received an Honorable Mention for their "Taste of the Holidays", a premier community event that promotes area business and donates food to the local food bank. And Brighton Chamber of Commerce received an Honorable Mention for their "Community Shred Project" which allowed community members to shred documents and prevent identity theft.
