CACI Fraud Seminar Set for
July 11th
A unique CACI breakfast seminar designed to
help businesses understand and protect themselves against
internal fraud will be held at the CACI Office on Wednesday,

Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
The seminar is sponsored by Holme Roberts
& Owen LLP. The panelists are:
- Steve Perfrement, Partner, Litigation
Practice Group, Holme Roberts Owen LLP
- Angela Morelock, Assistant Director,

News.
There is no charge for the seminar and the
continental breakfast. Space is limited, however.

"Business Health Forum"
Project Launched by CACI Educational Foundation
The CACI Educational Foundation has
launched a new, statewide initiative, the "Business Health
Forum," to get companies, which are major payers of health
care, more involved in the health-care reform debate.
The rising cost of health care is a chief
concern of the state's employers, who provide health-care
benefits to more than 60 percent of Coloradans. This
year, Colorado companies are paying 85 percent of the health
care premium for single employee's coverage and 67 percent of
the cost for family coverage. Both figures are one
percentage point higher than last year, according to the
Mountain States Employers Council, which is mutually
affiliated with CACI.
CACI Board Member Ralph Pollock is the
Director of the Forum, and he also chairs the CACI HealthCare
Council. The Associate Director is Amy Fletcher.
The Forum is funded by The Colorado Health Foundation:
http://www.coloradohealth.org/welcome/
The Business Health Forum will help ensure
that the statewide business community fully participates in
the growing health-care reform discussion. With the Blue
Ribbon Commission on Health Care Reform hard at work, and
Governor Bill Ritter and state legislators looking in 2008 for
comprehensive reform of the system, there has never been a
more important time for employers to get involved.
"In other states, successful efforts to
reform the health-care system have required the strong
participation of employers," said Chuck Berry, CACI President
who also is President of the CACI Educational
Foundation. "The Forum is designed to ensure that the
business community fully participates in the health-care
reform debate."
Although the Forum
will not take positions on any health-care system reform
proposals or legislation next session, it will serve as a
conduit to increase business leaders' participation in the
reform debate, as well as their understanding of such related
issues as Medicaid, the problem of the uninsured and issues
about quality.
The CACI HealthCare Council and its
Steering Committee will be the locus of CACI's involvement in
the health-care reform debate. The decision about CACI's
policy position on any reforms that go before the General
Assembly in 2008 or that go onto the November 2008 ballot,
however, rest ultimately with the CACI Board of Directors.
Soon, employers will be able to go online
at www.bizhealthforum.org
to indicate how they'd like to be involved with the Forum. In the
meantime, visit the site for more information about the Forum
and for news about health-care reform efforts.
The Forum will sponsor a series of meetings
statewide in partnership with local chambers of commerce and
other business groups. Health-care reform and the work
of the Forum will be a major focus of the upcoming CACI
Regional Meeting on July 18th in Fort Collins, which is
described elsewhere in this issue of The CACI
Advantage. Forum events are being planned in
Greeley, Loveland, Aurora, Vail and other communities across
Colorado.
For more information, contact Amy at afletcher@bizhealthforum.org
or 303.866.9659. Please indicate your interests (Blue
Ribbon Commission, small-group reform, the uninsured, wellness
and prevention initiatives, etc.) and how you would like to
participate (attend meetings to learn more about issues, write
or meet with local officials and/or state legislators, testify
at the Colorado State Capitol, receive the Forum's newsletter,
etc.)
Prior to joining the Forum, Amy spent seven
years as the health care and legislative reporter for The
Denver Business Journal, where her work earned numerous
awards from the Colorado Press Association and the Society of
Professional Journalists. Fletcher brings knowledge
about various aspects of the health care system--from Medicaid
to quality to the uninsured--and expertise in explaining how
they affect the business community. She earned both a
master's degree and a bachelor's degree in journalism from
Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism.
The CACI Educational Foundation is CACI's
research, education and communication affiliate. It is a
non-profit, 501(c) (3) organization, whose Board Chair is Ray
Johnson, IBM's Corporate Community Relations Manager and
Public Affairs Manager.

CACI Offers Pinnacol
Assurance Workers' Comp Program to Members
CACI's for-profit subsidiary, the Center
for Business Resources, hosts several products intended to
save CACI members money. The complete list can be found
on CACI's Web site by clicking on the Business Resources
button. One of these products is the Pinnacol Assurance
worker's comp program.
Since 1998, CACI and Keller-Lowry
Insurance, Inc., have joined forces with Pinnacol to offer a
group insurance program for CACI members designed to reduce
workers' compensation costs by promoting risk-management and
accident-prevention plans in the workplace. Premium
discounts and possible year-end dividends are available for
eligible CACI members. Some CACI members have received
as high as 15 percent premium returns from year to year.
CACI, Keller-Lowry Insurance and Pinnacol
can help CACI members save money on this essential business
product through a special program exclusively for CACI members
that can offer a four percent upfront discount through
Pinnacol Assurance. Pinnacol also now offers workers'
compensation coverage for companies that have out-of-state
employees.
If you're already insured with Pinnacol and
are a current CACI member, contact Keller-Lowry Insurance to
find out how you can take advantage of the savings. To
receive the four percent upfront discount, members must
contact Keller-Lowry before their Pinnacol renewal notice is
mailed, which usually occurs about 60 days before their
workers' compensation policy expires. For more
information, contact Tom Terry or Troy Sibelius at
Keller-Lowry Insurance at 303.756.9909.
