Councils
"CACI had a significant role in affecting the outcome of the
Governor's climate change proposal."
Jim Martin, Executive Director,
Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment
CACI Councils offer an exclusive opportunity for CACI members to add their expertise and judgment to our policy making by weighing in on legislation and regulations that impact business. Council meetings provide for open and frank dialogue between our members, key legislators, and state agency leaders.
CACI membership is your ticket to participate in these standing CACI councils:
* HealthCare Council
* Environmental Council (subcommittees: air, waste, water)
* Tax Council
* Labor and Employment Council
Please note:
You must be a CACI member to join a CACI Council. If you are interested in becoming a member, please call us at 303-831-7411 or click here.

Chair: Ralph Pollock, Member, CACI Board of Directors
The purpose of the HealthCare Council is to inform the business community, elected officials, the news media and the public about the importance of competition in controlling health-care costs and improvement of quality and accessibility in the delivery of health care. The Council’s “Steering Committee,” which is comprised of a small number of CACI members and some interested non-members, provides strategic direction for the Council and for CACI’s lobbying on health-care policy.

Tax Council
Contact: Donnah Moody
Chair: Rhonda Sparlin, PriceWaterhouseCoopers
Each year, CACI faces proposals at the legislature that would increase the burden of business taxes and fees on companies. The Council works to equalize or reduce the state tax burden on businesses and is committed to developing a multi-year plan to make Colorado truly tax competitive. Meets the first Friday of every month at 12:00 noon
Government Affairs Council

Chair: Donnah Moody
The Government Affairs Council is comprised of members of the business lobbying corps at the State Capitol who are CACI members, including corporate lobbyists, trade association lobbyists, and contract lobbyists.
The Council generally meets for a working lunch every other Tuesday during the legislative session to for a strategic and tactical discussion regarding bills that affect the business community.
The CACI lobbying team presents CACI's Legislative Agenda and lobbying strategy and enlists the help of Council members, who then present the issues they are lobbying on behalf of their respective CACI members. As needed, the Government Affairs Council will occasionally meet when the legislature is not in session.
